Chengdu to increase number of drug stores to 3,548
Shanghai. November 6. INTERFAX-CHINA - The local food and drug administration has approved the establishment of 478 new drugstores in the Chengdu, capital city of Shichuan Province, in 2009 and 2010, according to the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) Web site on Nov. 5.
The new drugstores will be be located in new residential areas of the city as well as in areas where a large number of migrant workers reside.
At present, there are a total of 3,070 drugstores in Chengdu.
