The Montrose City Council authorized French-Reneker-Associates, Inc., Fairfield, Thursday to assemble a bid package to install water meter pits for the Montrose/Rathbun Rural Water project.
The bid opening date is at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at City Hall. The bid package will specify that the bids are good for 60 days.
A public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. that day, prior to the regular 7 p.m. monthly meeting of the Montrose council.
Rathbun is anxious to start, engineer John Meyer of French-Reneker-Associates, Inc., said Thursday at the regular November council meeting.
