I'M REALLY looking forward to going to the Shamwari game reserve in South Africa for my broadcast to mark 25 years of the Born Free Foundation. The organisation runs Shamwari, where the animal centre was set up with more than [pounds sterling]1million given by GMTV viewers.
The Foundation was created by actors Bill Travers and Virginia McKenna, stars of the film Born Free. At Shamwari, big cats released by Born Free can enjoy the run of a 61,000-acre reserve which boasts five eco-systems.
Eamonn Holmes and Fiona Phillips have both presented from here - and Anthea Turner had a lion named after her in the park.
