HEREFORD UTD 2 SUTTON UTD 0 MATHIEU MANSET was the hero and villain for Hereford as they saw off their Ryman League rivals at Edgar Street.
Manset set up their win after just six minutes, but then saw red midway through the first half, before Ryan Valentine sealed victory from the penalty spot at the death.
Hereford swept into the lead when French striker Manset scored from close range.
Hereford were then reduced to 10 men when Manset was sent off in the 27th minute after a confrontation with Sutton's Alan Pouton.
