IT WAS from the dual carriageway that we first saw her, resplendent against the dingy Southampton skyline. Just for a moment, the children stopped squabbling. Gameboys bleeped and whirred unheeded. Yes, the Ventura really is that enormous - and her majestic white lines evoke excitement, adventure and possibility.
And soon we were on board. The embarkation process was impressively streamlined. We were met by cheerful men who swept away our car in one direction and our bags in another, and the checking-in formalities were similarly well drilled.
