WHEN WE travelled to the Far East in 2002, Richard Dunne was one of the unfortunate few. He never saw one minute of action. It's incredibly tough on any professional footballer to get selected in a World Cup squad, to be involved for five or six weeks, and then not to play.
And it was tough on Dunne. He had been immense in our early qualifying games in Amsterdam and Lisbon, but by the time we reached the Orient, Steve Staunton and Gary Breen had established themselves as the firstchoice defensive partnership.
