DEVELOPERS hoping to open a new airport on a former Gwynedd airfield remained "committed" despite a likelihood it will be refused by planners. Llanbedr Airfield Estates Ltd, formed by Cirencester-based Kemble Air Services, made 27 applications to Snowdonia National Park planning authority for a lawful use certificate to make use of existing buildings on the airfield.
If Kemble had succeeded, it would have meant they would not have had to make a formal planning application to open a new airport on the site.
