WHEN Glenys Kinnock took her seat in the House of Lords in July and asked what her chosen title would be, she opted for Baroness Kinnock of Holyhead.
The former Europe minister was ennobled to take her place in government after Gordon Brown gave her a job in his last reshuffle, and as usual, remained true to her North Wales roots.
The wife of former Labour leader Neil Kinnock opted for a moniker that included the town she grew up in.
Born in 1944, Baroness Kinnock was educated at Holyhead Comprehensive School and graduated from the University of Wales College Cardiff in education and history.
