TOKYO - Amazon Japan KK has begun domestic sales of products from AmazonBasics, the private-label brand sold worldwide by U.S. parent Amazon. com Inc.
The Japanese unit is starting off with 18 items, which are priced much lower than their name-brand counterparts. For instance, a 100-pack spindle of 4.7-gigabyte 16x DVD-Rs is priced at 1,904 yen, or around half as much as the competition. ...
