SHORT ON PATIENCE
In "Presidential booing" (letters, Nov. 4), the writer noted the disrespect for the presidency when the fans at a recent ODU football game booed as a video clip of President Obama was shown on the scoreboard television. Could the lack of respect for the office possibly be due to the prior eight years of leadership?
Poor Obama, expected to fix eight years of destruction, including two wars and a ravaged economy, in a year - no, less. Be patient. He is a man, not a magician. Give him a chance to earn your respect.
