One of Lakeland High School's best football seasons in Group AAA ended on a sour note when the Cavaliers were bounced from postseason Saturday with Warwick's victory over Kecoughtan.
Warwick's 37-14 win propelled it into the Eastern Region Division 5 playoffs as the seventh seed and knocked Bethel to the No. 8 and final seed.
Lakeland (6-4) fell to ninth and out of the playoffs.
Bethel plays an opening-round game against top-seeded Phoebus, while Warwick visits No. 2 seed Lake Taylor.
