Huron Capital Partners, a Detroit, Michigan-headquartered private equity investment firm acquired a majority stake in Maple Leaf Automotive, Inc. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The equity firm invested about $30 million into the Ontario, Canada-based aftermarket auto parts manufacturer using funds from its third fund. The Huron Fund III, L.P. closed with $350 million in committed capital in January 2008.
