BNY Mellon's investment management arm acquired a 20% stake in New York-headquartered private equity firm Siguler Guff & Company LLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Siguler Guff entered into a strategic alliance with BNY Mellon in January 2009, hiring the financial services giant to distribute its products and services to global locations. In May, Siguler Guff Advisers, LLC, became the investment advisor of the private equity fund of funds.
Siguler Guff is a distressed investor and buyout firm. The firm, a 1995 spin-off from Paine Webber, manages about $8 billion in assets and committed capital. In addition to ...
