This Christmas, my friend Baby and his son Martin will be in the US. Martin saved up to watch the ball drop at Times Square on New Year’s Eve and see his favorite basketball team play. The trip is also his Christmas gift to his mom. My grandson will join my sister who will leave for an 11-day vacation in California. Both are leaving, courtesy of my brother. A cousin from Oriental Mindoro is in Hong Kong to meet a daughter who is coming back from Italy. All these comings and goings would have been unheard of in times past.
