Nov 09, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian sharemarket posted strong gains on 9 November 2009, with the S&P/ASX 200 rising 80.9 points to finish at 4,674.9. The All Ordinaries Index was up 82.1 points at 4,686.5. Rio Tinto added $A0.75 to end the session at $A65.75 and the ANZ Bank advanced $A0.26 to close at $A22.66.
