9 November 2009 - Four companies have agreed to buy for a combined SEK5.9bn all drug stores offered for sale as part of the restructuring of Swedish stated-owned pharmacy monopoly Apoteket AB, the manager of the process said today.

Apotek Hjartat, owned by private equity company Altor, has acquired 208 pharmacies, with annual sales of SEK7.1bn and 1,500 employees.
