Assembly of IBM Computer Systems Begins at Second Tech Data Facility; Global Technology Distributor Continues To Bring New Efficiencies To The Reseller Channel

CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq: TECD) today announced it has begun final assembly of IBM computer systems at its second U.S. configuration and assembly center, which opened in June in Swedesboro, NJ. IBM's authorization of Tech Data's Swedesboro facility adds to the growing industry momentum toward "assemble-to-order" services while complementing Tech Data's pioneering FactoryDirect initiative, adopted by both IBM and Compaq this year.
