India s largest utility vehicle maker, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), which has outlined an investment outlay of nearly Rs. 5,000-crore from FY 09 to FY 12, is all set to begin the commercial production of its vehicles from its greenfield facility in Chakan by the end of this month, reported PTI exclusively, adding that the plant will have the production capacity of 250,000 vehicles in the first phase, which will be enhanced in the second and subsequent phases. As reported earlier, M&M s Chakan facility will have four assembly lines and will be catering to both the domestic as well as international markets.
