BAE Systems Inc. has named Robert Bob Murphy president of its Systems Land and Armaments Group, succeeding Linda Hudson, who was recently appointed president and chief executive offer.

Murphy, who also has been the group s acting president since Hudson s promotion, will serve on BAE Systems Executive Committee.

Murphy has been executive vice president of the group since November 2008 responsible for meeting customer requirements, financial commitments, and the continuous improvement of the division.
