A high temperature, silica-based ceramic adhesive, Ceramabond 618-N, has been introduced by the Valley Cottage, New York, USA-based company Aremco. Ceramabond 618-N is designed to be used to bond porous and low expansion ceramics, glass and quartz for applications up to 1650[degrees]C (3000[degrees]F).
Ceramabond 618-N is a single part and phosphate-bonded ceramic compound that is filled with silica. Aremco says that it provides good adhesion to low expansion ceramics, quartz and glass, as well as molybdenum and tungsten metals.
