The haemostatic HemCon Patch and HemCon Bandage made by HemCon Medical Technologies are to be made available to 2100 hospitals in the USA. The agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners, which runs until 1 October 2011, makes HemCon dressings available to all Premier hospital members through HemCon's exclusive distribution partner, Cardinal Health.
The dressings are designed to improve patient care following diagnostic and interventional vascular access procedures, offering safe and fast haemostasis with an effective antibacterial barrier against a wide range of microorganisms, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), ...
