We received two very similar questions from our readers.
Q: At the State Street intersection on South Swan Street in Albany there are no lane markings. At the Washington Avenue intersection there are no arrows indicating which lanes are supposed to turn which direction.
The State Street intersection is normally a mob of cars that straightens itself out once it gets through the intersection and there are markings again. The Washington Avenue intersection is normally more dangerous. As someone who drives straight through, I try to be in the left lane.
