PASSENGERS AT Dublin Airport could soon pay a e22 charge on every flight after the Government insisted they must pick up the tab for the full cost of building Terminal Two.
Aviation chiefs have proposed increases of almost e4 on top of the e18 in taxes and levies already loaded on to the cost of a flight included - but usually hidden - on flight tickets.
However, as the Dublin Airport Authority's debts continue to spiral and are expected to reach e1billion over the next five years, there are fears that T2, which is close to completion, may not attract the business as passenger numbers decline in the recession.
