Imagine the world without electricity. There wouldn't be any lights, computers, televisions, CDs, refrigerators, or microwave ovens. Some things would take a lot longer to do without electricity. There would be some things we could not do at all.
Switch It On
Many things need to be plugged into an electrical socket (or outlet) to work. Others get their power from batteries. Batteries let us carry electricity around with us wherever we go. It makes electricity portable.
