Bombardier Inc. is still waiting for the myriad much-discussed government railway projects financed by all that stimulus money to progress from the talking stage to reality. But it consoled itself yesterday with the signing of a $452-million deal to build 60 train sets for the Paris metro.

Bombardier's share of 286 million euros is part of an 842-million-euro ($1.33 billion) contract awarded to a consortium made up of Bombardier and France's Alstom SA from the Regie autonome des transports parisiens (RATP), the city's mass-transit authority.
