Clearwire Corp. is reportedly getting $1.5 billion in financing to help build out its wireless network, but Google Inc. isn't taking part in this round.
The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Clearwire investors that include Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE:S), Intel Corp. (NASDAQ:INTC), Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSK) and Time Warner Cable Inc. are kicking in the money. Sprint is putting up about $1 billion of the new funds, the Journal said.
But Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) reportedly isn't participating. The Mountain View search giant was part of the previous $3.2 billion funding of Kirkland, Wash.-based Clearwire (NASDAQ:CLWR), ...
