The Airports Company SA (ACSA) has opened a new R1.6 billion terminal at Cape Town International Airport. ACSA spokeswoman Diedre Hendricks says the new five-floor building combines check-in facilities for both international and domestic passengers.

There are 120 check-in counters, 20 self service check-in machines and a consolidated security screening point. "Over the past few months the airport team has worked hard to ensure a smooth transition from the old terminal to the new one," said Hendricks, adding that the transition had been possible with the co-operation and team work of all stakeholders.
