The Portsmouth Service League and the Woman's Club of Portsmouth are joining forces to raise funds for local charities. In operation since 1956, the Portsmouth Service League has provided thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to local organizations. The group founded the Children's Museum and is actively supporting the Portsmouth Museums Foundation in the ongoing expansion. The Woman's Club will celebrate its 100th birthday next year and has given tirelessly in support of local initiatives. Last April, the club had a blood drive in memory of the students killed at Virginia Tech and helped raise funds to buy a Trauma Hawk vehicle for the Virginia Tech rescue squad. Join ...
