THE Government had embarked on a deep and far- reaching savings and reprioritisation exercise in the face of the impact of the global economic crisis on South Africa with phase one of the plan set to see savings of more than R27.1 billion, Deputy Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene said in Durban last week.
Nene was addressing local and international delegates and academics attending the International Business Management Conference 2009 at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's Graduate School of Business.
