Like countless Arabs from troubled areas of Iraq, Majde Al Kelani and his family fled Baghdad for the safety of the Kurdish region some years ago. He now runs a ladies' cosmetics shop in Slemani. He says he is contented and has no immediate plans to return to his home.
Aa"I am an Arab businessman but I have never at any time faced discrimination by anybody as far as my business is concerned," he says.
When travelling to other cities in the region, Al Kelani insists that he has never encountered any difficulties on account of his Arab ethnicity.
