One of the many "hidden costs" paid by city dwellers is that they so seldom can command a great, generous over-arching sweep of the sky, stretching away over the earth to touch the horizon in every direction. True, there are spots in most cities where a reasonable skyscape is possible in theory. Some of the elevated road sections along the freeways have great potential views, but if you stop suddenly for a meditative gaze, or take your eyes off the road even for a quick peep, it is likely to be the last look at the sky you'll ever get, from the underside, anyway.
