Simcere to acquire majority stake Tianjin Tianda

Shanghai. November 10. INTERFAX-CHINA - Simcere Pharmaceutical Group announced on Nov. 9 that it will acquire a license to manufacture the cardiovascular drug Rosuvastatin in China from Tianjin Tianda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd.

Simcere Pharma, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, will acquire the license and the technology for producing the cholesterol- lowering drug by taking an equity position in Tianda Pharma, according to the announcement.
