CEBU CITY, Sept. 14 (PNA) -- An official of the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) has said the suspension of the Superferry passenger fleet has "affected the movement of people" and will eventually reduce CPA's income.

CPA deputy general manager Dennis Villamor said that with both Aboitiz Transport System and Sulpicio Lines Inc. suspended, only Negros Navigation's ships are serving the Cebu-Manila route.

He said the remaining shipping line cannot fully accommodate the number of passengers relying on sea travel.
