MANILA, Sept. 15 (PNA) -- Another group of 71 Filipino "bridge people" in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia are due to arrive in Manila late Wednesday night, following their expulsion from the Middle Eastern country for overstaying their visas, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported today.
Meanwhile, 22 Filipino crewmen of the hijacked Greek- owned vessel "M/V Irene" have been released by their Somali captors and arrangements for their repatriation to Manila are underway, the DFA also reported.
So-called "bridge people" because they lived under the busy Khandara bridge of Jeddah after their visas ran out or ...
