City Council passed an ordinance to buy land owned by American Electric Power adjacent to the city-owned property at the Ballville Dam.
During a regular session of Fremont City Council on Thursday, council authorized Mayor Terry Overmyer to enter into the contract, which is necessary for the completion of a water pipeline connecting the Fremont upground water reservoir to the city's current water intake line.
The land is approximately 3.6 acres, and it costs $5,000.
Council also passed a resolution authorizing a payment of $18,901.15 to TTL Associates, Inc. for additional test borings for the reservoir. Overmyer ...
