SOUTHBRIDGE - Past practice has had high school football players, in their attempt to tackle advertisement for their program booklet, turn to business leaders for support each year.
Inevitably, the players made their way to D & D Welding and Salvage Corp. on 146 Ashland Ave. It was founded in 1965 by Alfred J. DiPietro, who recently passed away at age 84.
Mr. DiPietro would always give the athletes their money's worth - and more - teaching them about making a proper presentation.
