Nov 12, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Government has chosen not to follow the Productivity Commission's recommendation on book imports. The maintenance of the status quo, announced by Competition Minister Craig Emerson, has been attacked by large retailers. Smaller bookstores welcome the outcome, but want publishers to be forced to make titles available locally at a faster pace.
