CHRISTMAS in the Hanson household has always been a time for friends, family and feasting: from the early days, when it was just me and my husband, John; to now, when our family consists of grown-up children, their partners, as well as grandchildren.
I've always enjoyed putting on a spread, decorating my table and having a gloriously long lunch.
This year we're going to be hosting everyone, which means six adults and three children younger than ten. Naturally I am delighted to have them all with us, but I am starting to plan already to leave as little as I can to chance!
