Gov't orders recall of unlicensed anti-flu masks
Shanghai. November 11. INTERFAX-CHINA - China's drug administration has ordered Tianjin Mingda Science and Technology Development Co. Ltd. to recall anti-flu masks that the company claimed would prevent influenza A (H1N1) due to a lack of proper licensing and certification, a State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) representative said at a press conference in Beijing on Nov. 11.
The investigation into the masks was sparked after the Xinhua news agency reported on Nov. 8 that an examination by Chinese National Influenza Center showed that Mingda Science and Technology's masks had a 92 percent inhibition ...
