Doctor headed into space:

A Chicago doctor will be the first orthopedic surgeon in space. Dr. Robert "Bobby" Satcher blasts off on the space shuttle Atlantis on Monday, Nov. 16. His 5 million-mile journey will take Satcher and other crew members to the International Space Station. Once there, Satcher will use his surgical training in joint replacements to help repair two robotic arms on the stationAEs exterior. And heAEll be tweeting about his space experiences on Twitter. Satcher is 44 and works at Northwestern Memorial and ChildrenAEs Memorial hospitals. He also teaches at Northwestern UniversityAEs medical school.
