The Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the World Affairs Council examined "The Global Food Crisis" where they examined challenges governments and businesses face in meeting growing global food demand.
Joseph R. Dancy, Adjunct Professor of Law at Southern Methodist University and Fund Manager with LSGI Venture Fund, delivered initial remarks on the topic. Dancy said, "Just over a year ago we saw food riots in over a dozen countries as food prices escalated. Even grocery stores in the U.S. limited the amount of rice you could buy.
