Allied Tube & Conduit Corporation, a business within Tyco Electrical & Metal Products (TEMP) - which is a segment of Tyco International (NYSE:TYC), announced the grand opening of a 514,000 square-foot expansion of its manufacturing center in Harvey, IL.
The $30 million investment will double the size of the existing facility and is expected to be complete by early 2010. Marking what will be the company's first LEED-certified project, the facility's technology will streamline manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, creating efficiencies that enable it to better serve customers in the surrounding community and across North America.
