FirstEnergy (NYSE:FE) announced that five teachers representing five schools in Pennsylvania have been awarded Mathematics, Science and Technology Education Grants. The grants, of up to $500 each, will be used for a variety of hands-on projects, workshops and teacher development programs throughout the school year.

Grant winners include: Elaine Meinhart, Amity Intermediate Center, Douglassville, PA; Marty Dombrowski, St. Rose of Lima School, Altoona, PA; Julie A. Harris, Jamestown Area School District, Jamestown, PA; Joan Reigner, Monocacy Elementary Center, Birdsboro, PA; and Sister Mary Babik, Saint James School, Erie, PA.
