American Medical Systems Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMMD) reported revenue of $123.2 million for the third quarter of 2009, a 4.9 percent increase from revenue of $117.5 million in the comparable quarter of 2008. The strengthening of the U.S. dollar had a negative impact on revenue of $2.1 million in the third quarter compared to the prior year. Excluding the impact of foreign currency fluctuations, third quarter revenue grew 6.7 percent over the same period last year.
