Safety National announced that former Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of Nevada Gary Cooper has joined the company as association manager in the company's underwriting department. He will help lead the company's efforts regarding self-insured groups and associations and serve as a liaison with state regulators and workers' compensation agencies.
Cooper joined the Nevada Division of Insurance in 2004, rising to the rank of deputy commissioner, where he was in charge of the state's Captive Insurance Program.
