Fitch Ratings has assigned a first-time long-term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of 'BBB' and short-term IDR of 'F2' to BGC Partners, Inc. (BGCP). The Outlook is Stable.

Positive ratings drivers include: limited credit and market risks, modest liquidity needs and proven funding flexibility. Low capital levels and low earnings retention are key constraints.
