UTStarcom, Inc. (NASDAQ: UTSI) announced that SOFTBANK TELECOM Corp. a wholly owned subsidiary of SOFTBANK Corp., will be the first customer to commercially deploy its NetRing™ Transport Network product portfolio (NetRing™ TN). NetRing™ TN includes new multiprotocol label switching - transport profile (MPLS-TP) solutions designed to overhaul existing mobile backhaul networks, provide Ethernet services and deliver broadband aggregation applications.
