AS bad omens go this one is most certainly enough to scare the sporran off you.
The last time Paul Hegarty teamed up with George Burley to represent Scotland here in Wales, the pair of them were ripped to shreds by one John Toshack.
It might have been 30 years ago, but the national team's assistant coach is still haunted by the thought of that disastrous debut and visions of Toshack smashing home a treble in a home international at Ninian Park, here in Cardiff.
It just happened to be Burley's first day in the dark ...
