In an age of instant digital photography, the pictures hanging on the walls at Empty Quarter u Fine Art Photography u stand apart.
Shot by noted French photographer Martin Becka with an original camera from 1857, these grainy images of the Burj Dubai, Business Bay and Shaikh Zayed Road serve as historical snapshots frozen in time.
"We wanted to create timeless moments for the city of Dubai," said Elie Domit, Creative Partner of Empty Quarter, located in Dubai International Financial Centre, who helped make Becka's two-year-project u Dubai, Transmutations u a reality.
