Australian power utility Energex has completed an A$14 million upgrade to its Southport substation in Queensland. The company has said that more than 15,000 local homes and businesses will benefit from the 18-month project.
The project included the installation of a new 60MVA transformer at the Southport substation in Spendlove Street which has improved power supplies to homes and businesses in parts of Southport, Ashmore, Arundel, Labrador, Parkwood and Main Beach.
